Alleluia Amen
Alleluia Alleluia
Alleluia Praise his name
Alleluia Amen
I will praise thee in the bright morning,
While the sun is in flight, bring thee laud,
When darkness gathers around me,
I will praise thee still, O God.
In my time of trouble,
In my time of trial,
I shall praise thee and call on thy name.
For thou art only the Lord of beauty,
The Spirit of goodness,
The Father of truth.
Mine eyes are upon thee,
I will lift my voice,
To thee, my King of Glory.
Alleluia Amen

Alleluia Amen is a sacred choral anthem, adapted from music originally composed in 1971. At that time, the work was set for solo soprano with piano accompaniment. In the new arrangement, the soloist remains, but is joined by the choir singing a cappella. The new text is freely adapted from various Psalms.

Alleluia Amen was first performed publicly on 10 November 2015 at the Dunham Theater, Houston Baptist University by the First Presbyterian Church Houston Chancel Choir under the direction of John Yarrington.
